Pardon the (pretty bad) pun in the title, but I recently learned of another new Civil War blog, The Newport Barracks (hat tip to Andrew Duppstadt).  Blogger Eric Lindblade is in the process of writing a book on the Battle of Newport Barracks, hence the name of the blog.  I decided to link to Eric’s second post, one which answers a question I’m sure some of you are asking right now, “So why write about the Battle of Newport Barracks?

I’ve linked to Eric’s blog in the blog roll and on the Civil War blogs page.  Make sure you stop by and check it out!
