Short Takes

April 23rd, 2018 by Fred Ray · No Comments

Apologies for the blogging hiatus but it’s been tax time and one has to give unto Caesar what is his or he’ll do bad things to you.

Anyway, just a short update on the historical cleansing of, well, just about everywhere.

Here in tolerant Asheville Robert E. Lee’s face was scratched off a memorial plaque, which seems to have become a focal point for the SJWs. I generally like Asheville and tell people that it has a live & let live attitude, but that seems to be changing.

In New York a statue of Marion J. Sims, “the father of gynecology” was removed.

I predicted that once we ran out of Confederates that people like Jefferson would be next. At his own university his statue has been persistently vandalized. So far the administration has stood firm, but who knows how much longer that will last?

Not even Gandhi is safe these days.

And in Arcata it’s President William McKinley. “First it was Confederate monuments. Now statues offensive to Native Americans are poised to topple across the U.S.”
