I’m back after a nice relaxing Thanksgiving with family. Before I get back into the swing of Civil War things, I just wanted to alert TOCWOC’s readers, avid bibliophiles like myself, to some amazing Amazon.com Cyber Monday Book Deals! For those of you who don’t know, Cyber Monday is basically like Black Friday, except you don’t have to leave your couch while shopping. I don’t typically stray off topic too often, so know that when I do it’s because I think you’ll benefit from the situation. This is like the occasional Civil War book publishers deal, except this sale covers a wide variety of topics. Be sure to check it out! By the time you’re reading this, I’ll have been browsing for awhile. Back to the Civil War tomorrow, but today, get over to Amazon. Even if you don’t find some deals for yourself, now’s the perfect time to get your shopping out of the way.

Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate your website and emails. I just retired and now I’m involved with Family Histories at the Family History Center here in my town. Just recently a fellow came in and wanted help finding an ancestor from South Carolina. Found him in co. k 1st sc reg. Hagood’s Brigade. It brings great joy to me to purchase books you have reviewed and to have the knowledge and history of units that people are researching for.
Thanks
Mr. Boles,
Thank you very much for the kind words. When I first started blogging on the Civil War back in 2005, my goal was to simply have a place to keep my Civil War book reviews. I started reviewing books myself because I wasn’t happy with the selection out there. Since then, the number of Civil War blogs and sites doing book reviews has exploded, and it’s something I’ve really enjoyed seeing. I’m glad you’re finding value here.
