Magazine Name: Columbiad: A Quarterly Review of the War Between the States

Publisher:

Web Site: None (no longer published)

Description (from Brett): Columbiad, no longer publisher, was a quarterly journal which was aimed at deep readers of the Civil War. It was not aimed at as wide an audience as Civil War Times or America’s Civil War, but instead recruited academic authors and used notes, something not common in popular Civil War magazines. Sadly, Columbiad folded in its fourth year of publishing. The four volumes listed below are the complete run of this Civil War journal.

Note: This is an ongoing project. All of the issues listed below have been completed. If you would like to help to complete this project, even if it is only one issue of one magazine, please use the Contact Us form in the menu at the top of this screen.

Visited Gettysburg with an Elderhostel group. Had classes with Instructor from US Army War College. who suggested reading their guides to Civil War Battles. In reading guide for Vicksburg Campaign came across reference to Columbiads, so looked it up and found this sight.

Are separate volumes available for purchase? I have Vol 1, Num 4 and Vol 2, Num 3 next to me and I think I have others that I have not unpacked yet.

    Thank you,

      Mr. Cooper,

I had and have no affiliation with the publisher, and I have no volumes available for sale. This site is simply meant to document articles available in Civil War magazine back issues.

      Brett
