Brett’s Contributions Going Forward

After finding out quite a bit of what goes into caring for a newborn baby over the past three months, I’m finally ready to dip my toes back into the waters of Civil War blogging. I am VERY happy that the TOCWOC group blog concept worked as I had intended during this time. I appreciate the efforts of all of the other TOCWOC contributors, especially Fred Ray and Jim Durney, while I was away. I’m confident this blog will continue to produce quality content in this type of situation when it inevitably arises in the future.

Going forward, I plan to take a realistic approach to what I can contribute to the blog in any given week. I promise one post per week. I’m not going to promise one LENGTHY post, one book review, or any other promise which would prove impossible to keep. Instead, I want to ease back into blogging as time, what little of it there is currently, permits. As my son Brock gets older I may be able to increase my posting frequency somewhat. As it stands now, I want to enjoy this first (and hopefully not last!) go round as a parent as much as possible. I DO plan to post book reviews from time to time, considering I owe quite a few to publishers from prior to my son’s birth. I’ll continue to post Civil War Talk Radio summaries, one of which you should see posted shortly. I also hope to SLOWLY catch up on my Civil War magazine summaries, though that might prove to be a difficult task. In summary, rather than be the main poster here at TOCWOC, I hope to be an active contributor on a level hopefully somewhat near where Fred Ray is currently at. I’ll leave you with a little picture of just who has been keeping me busy these last three months…

    Brett,
Fine looking boy you’ve got there. Brock Schulte…the 2026 starting QB for Notre Dame.

    Brett,

Congrats on your son. Instead of playing for ND, how about being the starting pitcher for the Cardinals ;). Take care man.
