I have a feeling that I was
trained by one of the very best, and I had the added bonus of being trained
by my future Army Commander.

I
don't remember too much from this one. Drew did push me back but my reinforcements
came up and I held just in time, thus earning the draw.

This was a fun scenario.
I managed to get across the bridges and it was all over but the shouting

I forged ahead aggressively
in this one, and by the end Drew was retreating off of the west end of
the map. I managed to surround a lot of his skirmishers and a few formed
units and took a major victory out of it.

This battle was basically
three separate battles. I had control in the west and pushed aggressively.
The center was a crap shoot and the eastern end belonged to Drew. Fortunately
for me the western end was by far the largest battle and hence I managed
to win a major victory.

Drew was burnt out on this

tendered his sword after only four turns and the campaign was over.

I couldn't resist the temptation

Paco shocked me with his
razor sharp tactics. He ZOC'd a few of my regiments who were crossing
the bridges and fought many skillful delaying actions to keep this at
a draw. I was left far behind for the rest of the Camapaign.

This was hands down the wildest
game I have ever played. There was no front line in this one. Our units
were a tangled mess in the center of the map. Ernie was getting ZOC kills
in the west while I was doing the same in the east. I had just enough
to pull out a minor victory, but who knows how this one would go if we
played it again!

I think Drew felt sorry for

He easily could have had at the very least a minor win.

Drew and I were engaged in
a slugfest in this 1813 version of Borodino. Both of our armies were exhausted
after only 30 of 56 rounds. Drew inflicted over 125,000 casualties on
me, and I countered with around 100,000. This battle was unlike any I've
ever played before in terms of sheer size. I had control of over 200,000
men at the start, and turns were taking me almost an hour to play even
without looking at the replay of Drew's turn.

Trapping Davout* - CPE

Austrian
(Prussian) Major Victory

This was still another wild
affair between Ernie and myself. I had one Korps in each corner of the
map, trying to trap Davout and his force. Ernie decided to hold my 2 southern
Korps at bay with a covering force and march the bulk of his forces to
the north in an effort to knock out half of my divided forces. After trying
to hold far too much ground, I retreated my two northern Korps to the
northwest and northeast corners of the map. The fighting that occurred
was vicious, and Ernie managed to drive I Korps off of the map in the
northwest and captured many men. I had a much better time of it in the
northeast, however, and my ZOC kills there and on the southern end of
the field proved the difference in this one.

This is basically the same

as Glyn said it might have been worse than Fredericksburg had he tried

I was able to hold the few
crossing points of a creek and exit most of my men off of the map for
a major victory. This battle really has very little effect on the overall
outcome of the camapign, but it was certainly fun watching my plan succeed
so well. Glyn almost managed too ruin thiungs late when he busted across
the creek, but he was just a little too late.

Moscow* - NRC

Draw
|
NA
|
Drew and I both came into
this one with greatly reduced armies after the bloodbath at Gzhatsk. Luckily
for me, I had the walls of Moscow to fall back to and was able to produce
the stalemate I needed in order to keep the French from winning the campaign.
Drew was driving me handily in a few spots but I was able to get in some
key counterattacks on the far right and left flanks that saved the day
for Mother Russia.

As a member of the Prussian
Army, I really didn't like being assigned to fight as the French. Add
to this the fact that the battle we had to fight was Teugn-Hausen, and
we never had a chance in this one. Give our opponents credit. They used
the correct tactics to ensure Austrian success, but I wish a slightly
more balanced scenario would have been used.
