Bull Run: Take Command 1861 by Mad Minute Games www.madminutegames.com Slouch hat and blanket roll Rebs To install point the two enclosed zips at the Civil War Bull Run folder in winzip and unzip. It will only overwrite files if you have been modding data files, installed other mods or installed version 1 of this mod. In which case you should back up those files. The uniforms will only appear in Open Play not in the scenarios that ship with the game. Because these uniforms are non-regiment specific unlike the Tigers I have mixed them in with the stock sprites. Some regiments are mixed a few pure slouch and some pure stock. I plan to make a few more varieties to mix them up even more. If you don’t like the way I have mixed them up or want to add in more Iron Brigade as Union regulars etc please follow this little guide. First, open the CWBR.ini file in the Civil War Bull Run folder in your Program Files. The bottom of the CWBR.ini file looks like this: Code: [Performance] AIPerFrame=30 LowResMaps=0 AmbientSound=1 LowDensityTrees=0 UseMipMaps=1 MinTerrSprites=0 MinUnifSprites=0 MaxSounds=32 Make sure MinUnifSprites=0 (you may not have the Maxsounds bit – doesn’t matter) Next open up units.csv in the Data files folder. If you want to add any of the other sprites make sure you use the Data Files for All. In column F find the regiment you want to have the sprite. In the adjacent cell in column G write in the following depending which sprite set you want:- C_Infantry_Slouch = All slouch hat C_Infantry_Mixed = Mixed Slouch and Stock Infantry_Tiger = Louisiana Tigers Infantry_Fire = Fire Zouaves Infantry_Iron = Iron Brigade Save and close. The new sprites don’t seem to appear in saved games but only in new ones. Any problems just shout up at Mad Minutes forum. A special thanks to Wrangler for playing testing the slouch hats (as well as being modder and scenario producer extrordinaire!) and also for telling me how to make mixed regiments. Thanks also to Bedbug for make the Springfield rifle I have used. I hope you enjoy them. Please make any comments, criticism etc at the Mad Minute forums. Tim May 2005 A BIG thanks to the Mad Minute team for making a brilliant game that is not only moddable but amazingly supported -thanks norb, Adam, 6th Vermont (for guide to uniform modding) and the testers.
