President Abraham Lincoln tours the Petersburg, VA, siege lines on horseback with Lieut. Gen. Ulysses Simpson Grant, USA, as both sides continue to entrench.

Skirmishes at White House or Saint Peter’s Church and Black Creek, or Tunstall’s Station, VA, the Richmond (VA) Campaign.
