The Death of Mad Minute Games

As a playtester for Take Command: 2nd Manassas and one of the OOB creators on Scourge of War: Gettysburg, I knew some things about the Norb Timpko/Adam Bryant relationship I couldn’t really share with the public.  That relationship ended on a sour note with the dissolution of their war gaming company, Mad Minute Games, several years ago.  Yesterday I read a long, detailed account of the break-up of the company at polygon.com, with input from both sides.  If you ever wondered what happened there, go check it out.  Thankfully, the Scourge of War series continues on with no signs of stopping in sight.

Thanks for the link, Brett. It’s a fascinating article. Zacny is one of my favorite wargaming writers, and I am a weekly follower of his Three Moves Ahead podcast. As someone who has experienced the frustrations of the PC wargaming biz, it resonated with me in lots of ways.

      Drew,

You’re welcome. These guys created an amazing group of games, so it was sad to see it end the way it did.

      Brett
