ThePetersburgCampaignVolume1TheEasternFrontBattlesBearssSuderowBe on the lookout very, very soon for The Petersburg Campaign, Volume 1: The Eastern Front Battles.  Published by Savas Beatie and edited by Bryce Suderow, this first of two planned volumes collects previously unpublished manuscripts famed historian Ed Bearss wrote for the National Park Service decades ago.  I previewed the book here back in February, and be sure to check out the book’s permanent page at The Siege of Petersburg Online.  Here’s an excerpt from the book direct from publisher Savas Beatie.  Additionally, check out an author interview with Ed Bearss himself.  According to the Savas Beatie web site, the book was on its way to the printer on September 30, so it won’t be long now!  I’ve been looking forward to this set for some time, and I’m eagerly awaiting the final result.
