I learned the sad news this evening from Drew and Harry that Art Bergeron passed away yesterday. Art was an authority on the Civil War in Louisiana, was very kind to me personally the few times we communicated via email, and will be sorely missed by the Civil War community. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
