Welcome back to TOCWOC - A Civil War Blog and thanks for reading!

Looking for a couple of ex-Confederate brass Armstrong cannons to round out your collection? I just might know where you can find ‘em.

R. Lee “Gunny” Ermey is at it again with a History Channel series on weapons call Lock N’ Load, covering the history of various implements of destruction. For the Civil War buff I particularly recommend the artillery segment, which shows a 12 Pound Napoleon and a 20 Pound Parrot. The inaccuracies are more than made up for by the truly awesome slow motion segments of those guns firing along with their effects. Worth watching, although there does not seem to be an airing in the next two weeks.
