Hey guys – where’s the Shiloh anniversary open thread??

Today and yesterday, as we all know.

Can we throw a bone to Benjamin
“Hornet” Prentiss???

Can we pour some out for Gen Johnston, who hardly knew he was hurt until it was too late to save himself?

What about Lew Wallace and the Stoney Lonesome? (sounds like a Souther-fried Rock band)

Just thinking out loud. Also, the Peninsula campaign more or less began inearnest on April 5th or so, with Keyes and Henintzelman moving on Old Jeb MacGruder.

Mike,

Check out just about any other Civil War blog out there and you’ll find something on Shiloh this week. We like to be different. 🙂
