This is one of the very best horror movies to come out in the 2000's so far, IMHO. I originally saw this in the theater and came away very impressed. Although this is an Americanized remake of the Japanese movie Ringu, I think The Ring stands well on its own. The Ring is about a videotape which causes people to die exactly seven days after viewing it. When Rachel Keller's (Naomi Watts) niece dies a mysterious death. she investigates and ends up viewing the tape herself. Eventually others she loves get sucked in and she is forced to try to solve the mystery before her 7 Days are up.
