Comments: This movie was not at all what I expected from the DVD cover and the plot blurb on the back. Fool (Brandon Quintin Adams) is a young African-American living in the ghetto, and his family needs money to pay the rent and help pay his mother's medical bills. Fool decides to help a few of his older sister's friends rob the landlord, but after they manage ot get inside the landlord's house, they realize they picked the wrong place to rob! Many surprises, hardly any of them good, await Fool in the house. I thought this was a decent movie, but it seemed like it was trying to make some kind of statement about today's society and how "The Man" steals from the Ghetto. It was an okay idea as far as social commentary goes, but the execution for that particular subplot just wasn't there. I would definitely recommend this one for a rental, and if you like Wes Craven's work, don't be afraid to buy. |
