The Mummy (1999)

This is one of those movies which I liked a lot more than the majority of people. It's a kind of Indiana Jones meets the Horror Genre, and I was intrigued all the way through. Brendan Fraser stars as the Indy-type lead character, an American serving in the French Foreign Legion in Egypt. He discovers the buried tomb of Imhotep, and along with Weisz and her brother attempts to retrieve the Mummy's corpse. Too bad the Mummy has other ideas, and REALLY too bad Weisz bears a striking resemblance to the Mummy's old girlfriend... This is worth a rental at the very least, but I say buy it. You might want to be careful here though, because I don't often disagree with the IMDB average by this much.
