This was Wes Craven's directorial debut. Wes Craven is a good director. However, this movie was not very good. Shot on a low budget, it involves two girls trying to score some pot from (unfortunately for them) a sadistic family of murderers who proceed to torture and kill the girls like a little kid tortures and kills a fly. It was a pretty gruesome, pretty dark film, and just doesn't have that many redeeming qualities. I bought it because I wanted to see how Wes Craven got his start. If you are a Craven fan, you might want to take a look. If you aren't, you're not missing much.
