Night of the Living Dead (1990)

I was worried that this remake would not do the original (my favorite horror movie) justice, but I was pleasantly surprised by the job Tom Savini (make-up artist extraordinare) did directing. The movie is almost exactly like the original, with some of the same main characters, but they have some key differences. I won't mention those there, as they are a nice surprise. Barbara (Tallman) and her brother Johnny again drive out to the country to visit their mother's grave. And as happens in the original, there are some guys out there who just don't want to stay buried! Tony Todd did a very good job portraying Ben as well. This was an all-around enjoyable movie and was a fitting tribute to Romero's masterpiece.
