In this movie based on the Anne Rice novel of the same name, Christian Slater plays a reporter who interviews Louis (Pitt), a vampire with quite a tale of his life, both living and undead. Louis was sired by Lestat (Cruise), a centuries-old nobleman who is utterly evil. Lestat spends decades trying to corrupt Louis, who manages to hold on to some semblance of his human mind. To help Louis along, Lestat turns a little girl named Claudia (Dunst), who then resents Lestat and Louis for trapping her in a little girl's body. This film features a great atmosphere and musical score, and I had a lot of fun watching it. Cruise, Pitt, and Dunst all give fine performances, and I have watched this movie many times. It is definitely a solid selection if you are looking for a Vampire flick to watch.
