As soon as I heard the basic premise of this movie, I was intrigued. For whatever reason though, I have never had the opportunity to see Flatliners until I bought the DVD earlier this year. Sutherland, Roberts, Bacon, Billy Baldwin, and Oliver Platt are medical students, and Sutherland especially is fascinated with seeing what happens when people die. He finally convinces the others to help him die, wait a few minutes, and then bring him back to life. They manage to do this a few times, each time going longer and longer before being resuscitated. Unfortunately for them, they might have brought something, or someone, back with them from the other side. I wanted to love this movie, but I only ended up liking it a lot. It wasn't exactly what I expected, but it was still a solid and entertaining film.
