This movie is based on the E.C. Comics from the 1950's. Add to this the fact that Romero directed, and Stephen King had a hand in all of this, and it is a winner. The movie features five short stories, and King even stars in one of them. There are many known actors playing the parts, including Holbrook and Barbeau from above, but also Ted Danson and Leslie Nielsen of Naked Gun fame. The stories include a tale of revenge from the grave, a jealous husband settling scores, a bumbling fool and a meteor, a crate with something nasty inside, and many, many, many cockroaches! This is fun in the Tales From the Crypt tradition, and is a guilty pleasure of mine. I think everyone should own Creepshow. It's a classic.
