This is one of the very best werewolf films ever made, right up there with the classic The Wolf Man and The Howling as the movies to have involving Lycanthropy. Landis' film has some comic undertones, but the horror is definitely there as well. David Naughton is the eponymous werewolf, having been bitten by some beast on the moors of Wales during a trip to Europe. His buddy is unlucky (or maybe lucky, as it turns out) and is killed in the attack. Naughton wakes up in a hospital in London and meets a hot nurse, played by Jenny Agutter. He begins to suspect he is a werewolf, starts seeing his dead friend (Dunne), and forms a relationship with Agutter. I highly recommend this one. It is a very well made and entertaining movie.
