With Musket, Cannon and Sword: Battle Tactics of Napoleon and His Enemies |
|
| Comments: Nosworthy always seems to be a little controversial, but he does his homework. This book details the tactics of the infantry, cavalry, and artillery during the Napoleonic Wars. I also have his book on the Civil War entitled "The Bloody Crucible of Courage", and this book is more of the same excellence. I enjoy Nosworthy's explanations and he is always a fast read, although his books are large. It has been a while since I last read the book, so a more detailed review will have to wait for a re-read. Still, I highly recommend this one if you are interested in the tactics of this period. 516 pp. |
